The Car in Movie WAR

I just watched the Movie the movie "WAR" (Also released by the title "Rogue Assassin" in some countries) starring Jason Statham (Transporter, Death Race, Crank) and Jet Li (Mummy - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor).

The movie's storyline is about a FBI agent, Crawford (Jason Statham) going after an Assassin known as "Rogue" (Played by Jet Li) for killing his partner. Its an interesting movie with lots of guns, blood and money and does not have the usual gang war story line like all other movies.

The movie featured some hot wheels such as Lamborghini's and Ferarri's. But this exact, which rogue drives during the movie caught my eye. It was a small convertible which showed precise handling and maximum acceleration.

As soon as the movie was over, i went through google to dig up some more details about this car.

The Name of the Car is Spyker C8 Spyder SWB , Made by the Dutch Automaker Spyker Cars. Its a 2 Door Convertible with an Audi 4.2 Litre V8 engine giving the car 400 PS (290 kW) and a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

The movie emphasizes cars perfect and smooth handling on the road at a few car chases, and the roar of the engine is so wicked and powerful.

Check the interior of the ride, it has a unique styled gear shift i hav never seen before.

Some Internet sites reveal that the price tag of the car is around 300,000 Euros. So it goes under the expensive category of cars, Yet its an unforgettable, sweet ride which is worth enough to keep dreaming for it !!

Decoding a GSM SIM Number

Have you ever wondered whats hidden behind the long 20 digit number printed behind every SIM card you purchase ?

Its the unique SIM identifier, which holds the Network , Country, MCC-MNC details of the SIM.

The maximum length of the visible card number is 20 characters; 19 digits are preferred, but telecommunication network operators who are already issuing Phase 1 SIM cards with an identification number length of 20 digits may retain this length.

The number is composed of the following subparts:

Issuer Identification number (max. 7 digits)

• Major Industry Identifier (MII), 2 digits, 89 for telecommunication purposes.
  
• country code, 1-3 digits, as defined by ITU-T recommendation E.164.
  
• issuer identifier, variable.
  

Individual account identification

• individual account identification number.
  
• parity check digit.
